Responsibilities include coordinating all electronic communication within the Mountaineer Connection online community; developing and implementing online community strategies, policies and features; managing online engagement and interactivity with audiences; planning and coordinating editorial activities in selecting and preparing material for electronic publication and managing other social media platforms. Network Administrator

The West Virginia University Foundation, Inc., a non-profit specifically designated to aid, further and support the work and purposes of West Virginia University, is seeking a Full-time Network Administrator. Responsibilities include setting up, configuring, and supporting internal/external networks; developing and maintaining all systems, applications, security, and network configurations; troubleshooting network performance issues and creating/maintaining a disaster recovery plan. The position also recommends upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment; tests and evaluates network systems; and provides technical support and guidance to users. Candidates must have knowledge of LAN/WAN systems; experience in configuring and managing Server 2003/2008; and experience in setting up all related aspects of client/server infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, network switches, desktops/laptops, RAID storage and backup systems, IP engineering and data security; as well as experience with MS Exchange and TCP/IP. A Bachelor or Associate degree and 0-2 years experience in the field or in a related area is preferred.  Must possess excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate effectively as a team member. Administrative Secretary

A Full-time position is available in the WVU Foundation Health Sciences Development Office.  The primary job duties of the position are to provide support for the Vice President Health Sciences.  Responsibilities include general secretarial and administrative, with an emphasis on proficient written communication, fundraising program support including donor, prospect and constituent relations.  Associate degree or 3-5 years secretarial experience desired.  Candidate must possess effective oral, written and organizational skills with advanced computing knowledge requiring proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Internet Explorer, and Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge application knowledge is desired.  Applicant should also be comfortable with the integration of these applications, as well as be detail oriented and operate effectively as a team player.

Mountaineer Line
The Mountaineer Line is a student-staffed fundraising program at the WVU Foundation.  Employing 50 WVU students, the Mountaineer Line contacts more than 30,000 WVU alumni and friends each year.

Our phone calls allow West Virginia University to make contact with alumni and friends every year that might not otherwise be possible.  Student callers also update demographic information ensuring everyone can stay connected to WVU.
