WVU Alumni Association

The WVU Alumni Association, chartered in 1873, represents more than 170,000 University graduates residing in every county in West Virginia, every state in the union and approximately 60 foreign nations.

With nearly 100 registered chapters and constituent groups, the Association's 26,000 dues-paying members support Homecoming Weekend, the WVU Academy of Distinguished Alumni, Loyalty Permanent Endowment Fund, Student Alumni Association, and dozens of other social and philanthropic programs.

Mountaineer Athletic Club

The Mountaineer Athletic Club is the fundraising arm of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at WVU. Supported by businesses and individuals alike, MAC provides funds for grants-in-aid to more than 350 male and female student athletes at WVU. Of all money contributed to MAC, 80 percent goes directly to scholarship funding and 20 percent is devoted to the ever-increasing operational costs of the 16-sport athletic program. From football to basketball, swimming to wrestling, volleyball to soccer, every Mountaineer athletic team benefits from the scholarship support made possible by MAC donors.

Student Life

West Virginia University Student Life provides programs, services and resources to help students learn and grow outside of the classroom. The Student Life Division supports West Virginia University’s student-centered learning environment, fosters student development, and in partnership with our University colleagues, offers students the opportunity to enhance intellectual, cultural, social, emotional and physical development.

Each student’s needs and background are different, and WVU Student Life is composed of 30 departments dedicated to helping all students achieve success. Student Life is involved in all aspects of a student’s life including health and wellness, diversity, global outreach, housing, dining, recreation, student activities, retention, and social and career development. The ultimate goal is to help prepare students for their chosen career, to be contributing members of a diverse global society, and to enhance student leadership skills.
