MAJOR GIFTS PROGRAM ASSOCIATE
WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION, INC.
The West Virginia University Foundation, Inc., a non-profit specifically designed to aid, further, and support the work and purposes of West Virginia University, is seeking a high-energy Major Gifts Program Assistant to support the work of the Foundation’s Major Gifts group.
This position reports directly to the Associate Vice President, Development and will provide administrative assistant support and functions to that position. The successful candidate will have the ability to create and edit complex reports and presentations.
This position will perform administrative duties of considerable scope and complexity requiring the exercise of initiative, independent judgment, and knowledge of Foundation Development procedures, external unit operations, Foundation Finance operations, and a wide variety of Technology procedures.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Windows and Microsoft Office software applications for creation of documents, spreadsheets, timelines, and reports and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience functioning in a support role to an executive in private business, higher education, or health care. Demonstrated skills in business communications and the ability to work with detailed, confidential, and sensitive information are required. Successful candidates will have a strong customer-service mentality, a sense of humor, and the ability to prioritize, organize, delegate, and conduct self-review of work.
