The WVU Foundation, Inc., a not for profit organization has an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join the Finance/Accounting team. This position will report to the Sr. Associate VP for Finance and interfaces routinely with the COO/CFO & Treasurer, Executive Management and the Board of Directors on corporate financial matters.

This position oversees the Finance and Accounting staff and is responsible for general accounting, cost/grant accounting, banking, disbursement services, budget reporting, quarterly/annual financial statements and endowment accounting/reporting. This position serves as the primary contact for the external audit and works with the WVU business office(s) on a routine basis. The Controller will serve all Foundation constituents and maintain operational strategies to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business discipline, CPA license and a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience. Supervisory experience is required. Candidates with non-profit controllership experience and/or external auditing experience in the non-profit sector are preferred. Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, leadership and organizational skills are required.
