Intern, HSC Office of Philanthropy


The WVU Foundation, Health Sciences Office of Philanthropy is eager to retain two part-time interns to support health sciences fundraising programs and operations. They will work closely with program and school/unit Directors, while assisting with all aspects of fundraising related to academic and health sciences centered projects and priorities.

Fundraising experience is preferred. Candidates must be knowledgeable of the Microsoft Office suite of software, and should be comfortable with quickly learning other internal proprietary platforms. The interns should possess a professionalism appropriate for interactions with outside professionals, leadership level major gift donors, and other community and institutional leaders. A high level of administrative skill, attention to detail, exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as electronic media and some graphic design skills are performance expectations.

The schedule is flexible to the students' schedules with an expectation of around twenty hours each per week. Tentative start and end dates of September 9, 2019 - May 22, 2020. Preference is for students who can commit for the entire school year and for those with a experience in communications, media, public relations, marketing, and/or special events.
