Senior Foundation Development Specialist


The Senior Foundation Development Specialist will work autonomously and strategically to coordinate the work of the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR). This position will be responsible for using multiple databases to extract complex, technical data to formulate reports and other materials in order to track and manage investor reporting. As part of the Foundation’s CFR operations, you will provide support, coordination and services to help build and grow corporate and foundation investments in WVU’s research, teaching, and service mission.

This position will be responsible for the organization and management of strategy meetings and complex campus visits, which will entail creating presentations, developing speaking points for leadership and preparing materials for various internal customers, including the faculty/leadership of WVU and the Foundation. The Senior Foundation Development Specialist must build positive, strategic relationships with campus partners, unit and regional giving officers, investors, senior managers, and others.

A Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years’ experience working in a professional office environment are required. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment and advanced writing, editing and proofreading skills. Experience in a fundraising profession within a higher education institute or non-profit organization would be preferred.
