Dear Mountaineer Family,
It is an honor to serve as interim president and CEO of the WVU Foundation at an important time for West Virginia University and for all who believe in its future. The work of the WVU Foundation is rooted in something powerful: the belief that philanthropy can change lives, strengthen our University, and create opportunities that extend far beyond our campuses. Every scholarship, research investment, student experience, faculty support, and gift to WVU represents a belief in what is possible.
As I begin this interim role, my focus is on ensuring that the Foundation continues to move forward with purpose and momentum. We will remain steadfast in our commitment to our donors, alumni, and friends. I look forward to working more closely with President Benson and his team to advance the priorities of WVU’s Strategic Compass and working with WVU Medicine to advance health for the people of West Virginia and beyond. There is tremendous opportunity ahead.
I am grateful to the Foundation’s dedicated team for the expertise, passion, and commitment they bring to this work every day. I am equally grateful to our donors and volunteers who continue to stand with WVU and make our progress possible. Leadership may change, but our purpose remains constant. Together, we will continue building on the Foundation’s strong momentum, strengthening our partnerships, and ensuring that every opportunity to make a difference for WVU is met with energy and resolve.
