The WVU Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the 2024 Outstanding Philanthropy Awards. Below please click the “Submit Nomination” button under the award of your choice to nominate an individual, corporation and/or foundation.
Outstanding Philanthropy Awards
The WVU Foundation recognizes and awards donors annually for their exceptional generosity, commitment and leadership, and proven records of outstanding civic and charitable devotion to the University through the Outstanding Philanthropy Awards Program.
Awards are made in four categories:
Milan Puskar Outstanding Philanthropist
This award is presented to an individual with a proven record of exceptional generosity and outstanding civic and charitable responsibility. His/her generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles - all for the betterment of WVU.
Outstanding Volunteer Philanthropist
This individual should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills in coordinating and motivating other donors to follow their philanthropic lead for the benefit of WVU. He/she should serve as a fundraising volunteer, teacher, or mentor, while demonstrating exceptional commitment to the advancement of the University.
Hazel Ruby McQuain Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation
To qualify for this award, a foundation must demonstrate outstanding commitment through its financial support and engagement of others in activities that support and advance philanthropy at WVU.
Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation
To qualify for this award, a corporation must demonstrate outstanding commitment through its financial support and engagement of others in activities that support and advance philanthropy at WVU.
For consideration for 2024, nominations are due by. 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 6.
All nominations submitted for consideration in 2024 will automatically be considered for 2025.
