Alumnus Marion “Butch” Chambers III recently made a $60,000 planned gift in his will to benefit WVU Potomac State College. The Butch Chambers President's Unrestricted Endowment will support the greatest needs of Potomac State College as determined by the president.
Chambers attended Potomac State College from 1962 to 1963. During his time at the College, Chambers served on the advertising and typing staff for the Catamount Yearbook, participated in tennis intramurals, and was a member of the campus Circle K Club.
Located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands, Nemacolin has announced a meaningful donation to establish a faculty fellowship at West Virginia University. This important gift will support the advancement of academic excellence within WVU’s Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Hospitality (Culinary) program, benefiting both faculty members and students.
Supporters of West Virginia University donated a record $46.2 million Wednesday (March 26) during the University’s eighth Day of Giving. More than 10,300 gifts were made during the 24-hour online fundraising event held across the University system, also a record. The $46.2 million figure tops 2024’s WVU Day of Giving record of $30.4 million raised from over 8,500 gifts.
