A strategic collaboration with state leaders can change the lives of foster care youths in West Virginia through 4-H youth development programs. Aetna Better Health of West Virginia partnered with West Virginia University Extension Service to provide funding for foster care youths interested in 4-H.
A West Virginia University School of Music alumnus has endowed a music education scholarship in honor of her beloved professors.
Nancy Douglas attended WVU from 1952 - 1956. During her time as a music education major, faculty members Clifford Brown and Bernard McGregor left a lasting impression.

Armand Coulson, a West Virginia University alumnus and World War II Navy veteran, had a desire to reciprocate the opportunities afforded to him because of his higher education. To honor his memory and wish to empower others along the path to becoming an engineer, Armand and Jaya Coulson established the Armand LeRoy Coulson Memorial Scholarship to benefit West Virginia students who wish to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Thanks to their generous contributions to the West Virginia University Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design, a retired professor and his wife continue to be an integral part of graduate studies in wildlife through the David and Catherine Samuel Wildlife Graduate Fund.
